Percy Jackson & Clash of the Titans on the same line
Recently, I’ve watched “Clash of the titans(3D version)” at the cinema. Didn’t really understand the fact of it being 3D, with or without the 3D glasses it doesn’t make much different, just that without the 3D glasses, the subtitle gets foggy and 3D glasses are tinted, so lesser brightness, but other than that, you can’t see much difference at all, so I was pretty much disappointed for the 3D in it, it was not worth spending another USD$3 for pretty much no difference with or without the 3D glasses.
Anyway, lets get back on topic, actually at first, I wanted to watch “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”, however on the day I was free and wanted to go to the theater, I realized Percy Jackson wasn’t available, so I decided to watch Clash of the titans but never expected, Clash of the titans to be based on Greek’s Mythology, but after watching “Clash of the titans” and understanding the whole climax of the scene, and later watched the trailer of “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”, to be honest, I’ve read couple of reviews saying “Clash of the titans” is better and also in 3D. I’d say, based on the story climax of the story, I think Percy Jackson seems to be pretty interesting(though I’ve never actually watched the whole movie itself), cause Clash of the titans has a pretty weak triumph, where the whole scene basically Perseus was saying he’ll face the battle like men, and would never use the sword provided by his father(zeus), and it keeps going on and on, made us watchers just go like “Hmm.. Interesting, and how’s he gonna defeat Hades without using the sanctify sword.” Then we were all like anxious to see what he could do, but the comeback was he using the sword later in the story. So yeah. Pretty predictable and doesn’t WOW us watchers at all. But yeah, the trailer in Percy Jackson shows himself underestimating the Pen, but yeah, at least its better than saying throughout the whole movie “I’m never going to use the sword, I want to deal it like a man!” and later still using the sword. ><”
But yes indeed, I was planning to not watch Percy Jackson when I found out they are both regarding the same story, but after watching the trailer on youtube and all, I think I’mma have to watch it though story line pretty much the same, but yeah, I want to see what Chris Columbus(Director of Percy Jackson) can do, what not Louis Leterrier(Director of Clash of the titans) can do, after all they’re both based on Greek myths. And I will certainly post my reviews later here on Percy Jackson, for now I think Clash of the titans is good but based on the trailer I see on Percy Jackson, Percy Jackson is in it to win it. =)
I’mma just kick straight to the trailer for those of you who have not watch both movies. Check them out below:-
